The task list gives you an overview on all tasks of the currently selected project or all projects when in global view. You can filter the list assigned person, status and priority. Note that these filter settings apply permantly and are not reset when you logout or clear your cookies.

New/Edit task

General Information - Title
A title for the task. This field is required.

General Information - Milestone
Assign the task to a project milestone. This field is hidden if milestones are disabled.

General Information - Description
A description of the task. The editor can be turned off in the task configuration.

Deadline
Set a deadline for the task. If the deadline surpasses the project or selected milestone deadline, the task deadline will be set to match this date!

Progress and priority - Progress
Set the task progress.

Progress and priority - Priority
Set the task priority.

Responsible persons
Here you can assign project members to the task. To add a new member, simply click on the "Add Member" button and a new drop-down list will appear.

Config

To get to the task configuration, you can either click on the "Config" button above the task list, or navigate to Config -> Sections -> (Edit) Tasks. The most relevant settings are on the right side under "Parameters".

Basic settings - Use content editor
If set to "Yes", a content editor will be used for the task description. Otherwise a simple textarea will appear.

Basic settings - Enable milestones
Enable or disable the milestone feature.

Basic settings - Enable comments
Enable/Disable the comment function for tasks

List settings - Count comments
Display the amount of comments posted in the task list

List settings - Finish button
Display a "Finish" button in the task list. This allows you to set the task progress to 100% directly

List settings - Quick progress
Adds a drop down list to each task in the list, allowing you to quickly change the progress.

Milestone settings - Uncategorized tasks
Define where to display uncategorized tasks. Works only when milestones are enabled.

Milestone settings - Delete milestone tasks
If set to "Yes", Projectfork will also delete the assigned tasks if you delete a milestone.

Milestone settings - Copy milestone tasks
If set to "Yes", Projectfork will also copy the assigned tasks if you delete a milestone.

Notification settings - Notify on create
Send an email whenever a new task or milestone is created.

Notification settings - Notify on update
Send an email whenever a task or milestone has changed.

Notification settings - Notify on comment
Send an email whenever a new comment is posted.

Notification settings - Notify author
Send an email to the item author (task or milestone).

Notification settings - Notify responsible person
Send an email to the assigned task users.

Notification settings - Notify project members
Send an email to the entire project team.
