Yes, you can add any Joomla module, including the login module, to a Projectfork panel position.

Just edit the Joomla mod_login module in Extensions > Modules, and set the Position to any Projectfork panel position starting with "pf_" such as pf_theme_sidebar or pf_controlpanel_main.
