ProjectFork 0.6.7 released
A new version for ProjectFork is available :)

It's a minor maintenance and feature release. However, updating to this version is recommended.
See the changelog for details: ProjectFork 0.6.7 changelog

I've also added basic support for Joomla 1.5 - there are some small bugs and legacy mode must be activated.
Feel free to test it, but don't take it for anything serious.

Update packages are available for any previous version - Hydra and ProjectFork.

Download ProjectFork

Update instructions:
Just copy the content of your update package into your joomla root directory. Overwrite any existing files, if asked.
Then visit the backend of your site: mysite.com/administrator.
From there, go to: Components->ProjectFork

That's all you have to do, enjoy!

Tks for your afort starting to port this com_ to J1.5b2
The istallation and config went ok.

But using this com_ delivers (legacy mode enabled)

Fatal error:
Call to undefined method mosMainFrame::setSession() in /...root.../plugins/system/legacy/classes.php on line 77

Yeah, it's not very stable on 1.5.
So there will be another update which will address these problems :)

The com looks great from what I can see. Am going to start playing with it today on 1.5RC2. Hopefully this will give Basecamp a run for the money. If so, I'll gladly contribute at least one month of my basecamp payment! :grin

Great component.

I have a few questions that I havent been able to find on the message board.

I'm asking here if their are any mods or hacks already available for the following:

- How can I add user/groups to the Task/project info page?

- Is there a way to template a project? -- Make a project with a set amount of task and copy it for a new project.

- How do I add a system message? Can't figure it out.

- Can you integrate the user detail (default joomla) page intot eh My profile page? see any issues with this?

- Do you know of any way to add a gantt chart from the project fork data?

- Any ideas on reporting engines?

Thanks for the help.

In the older version, you could click on the progress bar for a project and update it's progress. I can't seem to do this in the new version? Why is that?

I also would like to add Gannt Chart capabilities to my wish list. That would be awesome!

Great stuff!
Any chance there will be a Stand-Alone version of Projectfork?
I would love to use it on my other page that does not have Joomla. That would be awesome!!

I tried to run this on jommla 1.5
It installed well - but I click it from Joomla - components - menu (inside the administrator) - it send me back to control panel of joomla admin.
I have Community Board Installed. Is this giving problem?
The I uninstalled it and reinstalled..and this time - I went straight to its control panel. I could go there, but could not import users from Joomla (though it was displaying the CB members there). Here - it is also hiding joomla administration menus.
Please advise me at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

If you want - I can provide you joomla admin password and you may observe its behaviour there.

Hi,

I'm new to this Project fork. This project is amazing.

I am still discovering it. :p . I have a question here. I can't upload new file. Is that part developed?

All, there are serious issues with 0.6.7 (or earlier) and Joomla 1.5.1. This is not ready for Joomla 1.5.1 yet, hold out a bit longer.
