New team member - Kon Angelopoulos

As you can see in the changelog, most bug fixes have been done by Kon Angelopoulos (angekdesign). Kon has been an active Projectfork supporter since last year and it was only a matter of time before Kyle and I would ask him if he'd like to join the Projectfork team.

Kon Angelopoulos"About a year ago I was working on a proprietary Project Management System for a global advertising company when I realized that there had to be a better solution out there. In keeping with my open source philosophy I searched for an open source PMS and stumbled upon Projectfork. There were a few solutions out there but none that were scalable enough to cater for both small and large enterprises. So I immediately got stuck into Projectfork in the hope that I could demonstrate an alternative solution to the company that I worked for.

I knew that I also needed to add some extra functionality to Projectfork before I could present it. In fact, the only stumbling block I could see was that Projectfork did not provide any reporting or Gantt chart features, something that was critical to the company I worked for.

Armed with enough technical documentation and my many years of Joomla development experience(you see I've been working with Joomla since its inception, and as a lead developer for a number of 3rd party extension providers) I decided to create my first Projectfork extension (Reports Dashboard Pro).

In my efforts to get this extension to a stage where it would be functional enough for demonstrating I had a lot of questions that needed answering and they needed answering in a hurry. The support and encouragement I received from Kyle and Tobias was second to none. As my way of saying thank you I got involved in the Projectfork forums giving back to the community as much as I could.

Interestingly enough the demonstration received a great response however politics got in the way and it was never implemented. Needless to say I have since moved on and am now focusing all my efforts to help make Projectfork the number one Project Management System for Joomla.

I'm so excited about where Projectfork is going. Tobias and Kyle have some great plans for Projectfork and all I want to do is help bring them to fruition. So if I don't  see you on the forums as often as I did it’s only because I’m now working on the next best feature for Projectfork.

Thank you Kyle and Tobias for this great opportunity!"
