Carbon Projectfork Theme Released!
Written by Kyle Ledbetter CommentsWe're very excited to announce the release of Carbon, an all new Projectfork theme.
Carbon is by far to most advanced and attractive Projectfork theme we've created. It completely transforms the appearance of Projectfork into a project manager application. We've worked hard on lots of small details like the appearance of buttons to make them feel more tactile and give feedback on hover and click.
Carbon's included in our Projectfork PowerPack which is becoming a better deal with each release. Speaking of releases, look forward to some Community Builder and JomSocial Projectfork plugins soon...

The Projectfork stable release is just around the corner as this will be the final RC release for 2.1! I've spent a good amount of time removing all reported bugs and other things I've found in the past weeks. If everything goes well, you can expect the stable release to come out in 2/3 weeks from today.
After tons of request, Projectfork now has a bundle, or PowerPack to be exact! We've put together 7 extremely useful and varied extensions and themes for its initial release and there's a lot more to come. More importantly, the Projectfork PowerPack included Priority Support for Projectfork itself.
Project Theme, Community Builder Avatar, and JomSocial Avatar Updated
Written by Kyle Ledbetter CommentsProjectPraise Projectfork Theme
The ProjectPraise Projectfork theme has been completely remanufactured for Projectfork 2.1. The theme now takes advantage of the updated Projectfork UI, icons, and template parameters. You can move the sidebar, hide the sidebar, and choose between light and dark themes. To use this update for Projectfork 2.1RC2, you'll need to upload this one file that was omitted from the xml, which allows params in 3rd party themes.

The JomSocial Profile Integration has been renamed a more accurate name. It has also been changed from a mod to a process for 2.1. The links to profiles only work in the frontend since JomSocial's profiles are accessed via the public site.

Yep, already RC2. Due to a (potential) critical bug in the update routine for the 2.0 series. The update would fail if your db table prefix was not "jos_". This is no longer the case with RC2. RC2 also contains a few minor bugfixes and theme changes (just restructured some of the code).
To update from RC1 to RC2, the procedure is as usual. If you want to upgrade from 2.0 to 2.1, please read and follow this guide step by step

The beta phase has finally ended and we are now releasing the first Release Candidate. This release includes the possibility to upgrade from the previous 2.0 releases to the current 2.1 version! Furthermore, regular patches will be provided from this version on. So you can now safely install/upgrade Projectfork 2.1.
With the latest release (2.1 Beta 3), Projectfork is now licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) v2.
Projectfork was previously licensed under the LGPL license, which is a derivative of the GPL license. The main reason for the change is to show support for the Joomla! decision to only allow GPL listings in the official Joomla! Extensions Directory, and to avoid license confusion (which is probably impossible). We also want developers to confidently modify Projectfork and create third party extensions without hesitation. Look for Projectfork to return to the Joomla! Extensions Directory (JED) soon, where it has gained some extremely helpful and informative reviews.
Projectfork is one of the most beloved, totally free and open source project management systems out there, and we only want it to gain the exposure and public attention its community deserves. We love supporting the Joomla! community with a tool such as Projectfork and have more free extensions on the way!
